“Call unto Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things that you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3

Who do you call when you need answers to your biggest questions?

Did you know God has a phone number? It is Jeremiah 33:3

Ten years ago I had a rude awakening. When the Lord took my Mother to heaven, I no longer could call her when I was going through something good or bad. I had a huge void in my life without her here to give me encouragement and advice.

During one of my many crying moments with the Lord I screamed, “Now what do I do?”

And God in His tender and loving way whispered in my heart, “Call Me!”

I felt the Holy Spirit say deep in my soul, “I have always wanted you to talk to Me first and allow Me to encourage you on every detail of your life. I have been waiting on you to call out to Me first and not as a last result.”

Woe! What a WAKE UP CALL!!!

Then I started to talk to Him and justify myself and give excuses,

“But, Lord I did call out to you and I’ve always been talking to you…. right?”

As I waited and searched my heart, I knew God was right; I’d missed the mark.

Oh yes! I loved Jesus. I was obedient. But I unknowingly and unintentionally, but nevertheless, selfishly, I’d placed my Mother, Dad and my own family ahead of God.

How did this happen?

I needed to restart and redirect my thinking.

I knew God was telling me a saying I’d heard a speaker say many times, “Jayme, it’s time for you to go to God’s throne, and not to your phone.”

My Mother’s passing away changed me forever. God had my full and complete attention. What was I going to do? I had to change for the positive!

Once again, I was stretched and grew in my faith in huge proportions.

It’s been ten years now and I’m constantly amazed how much I continue to learn, grow and depend on God.

I love the Lord Jesus Christ more today than I’ve ever loved anyone or anything in my life. I’m totally crazy about Him. He is my Rock and my Comforter.

How about you?

Who do you depend on when things get tough? How do you deal with things?

Do you call your best friend, Mom, boyfriend or husband?

Do you reach for your computer, a good drink, food or chocolate?

You are not alone. You don’t have to be stuck where you are for another minute.

Turning your eyes to Jesus changes your perspective on your life and the world.

All of us have weaknesses but God in His mercy and grace provides the Scriptures to help guide us through every detail of life.

Matthew 6:33 “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.”(NLT)

Other verses to read: Psalm 3:4/17:6/30:2/50:15,16/86:7 and Jeremiah 29:12 and Jonah2:2

God has no phone, but I talk to Him.

He has no Facebook, but He is still my friend.

He does not have Twitter, but I still follow Him.

How are you and God doing? Are you talking to God first about every detail of your life? Today is a new gift from God and you can start fresh.

First: If this is your first time to talk to God in a personal way, start by telling God you’ve made mistakes and you are a sinner in need of a Savior. Ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior and invite Him to live in your heart forever. Seek Him first and humble yourself before His throne.

Second: Pray and talk to God about your deepest hearts desires and listen for His answers. Will you join me and give it all to Jesus and make Him first in your life?
