God spoke in the biblical times and He is still speaking today. He was listening and answering the people as they prayed and He is still listening and answering our prayers today.

For more than thirty-five years I’ve shared countless hours with Christian women I’ve mentored who are searching for their purpose in life and to know God’s will. Their questions are gut-honest and real. They are tired of just living and existing from day to day. They desire to learn and grow in their faith every day and not just on Sunday’s. Our conversations are authentic and they are not afraid to ask the hard questions:

Does God really care about the details of my life?
Will I ever make a difference?
Is this really what life is all about?
What’s happening? Where is God in all the suffering?

There seems to be an unspoken and uneasy thought that most of us are keeping to ourselves. No one wants to openly talk about things in fear of the “what will people think of me” syndrome. But, if we are willing to admit it, some of us may be thinking. . .
“God, I know you say you have a plan and purpose for everyone and you answer prayers. I just don’t believe it will happen specifically for me. Please God, help me with my unbelief.”

Grab a cup of coffee and let’s talk. Here is God’s response to your questions. You may even want to write these verses out on a piece of paper or type them into your memo/notes on your cell phone as a good reminder.

“I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers!”

Isaiah 65:24

Be encouraged. God clearly has an answer for us in His Word. God is in the details of your life.

“It came as a sheer gift to me, a real surprise, God handling all the details.”

Eph. 3:7-8

God has a plan and purpose for your life.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster. To give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

He knows your thoughts.

“For you are dealing with the One who formed the mountains, made the winds, and knows your every thought.” Amos 4:13

God will show up and hold things together.

“In Him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:17

Make God a priority.

Place Jesus Christ on the throne of your heart and see your life change.

“Love the Lord your God with all of your heart…” Mark 12:30

“In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success.”
Proverbs 3:6, TLB

“What lies behind us, and what lies before us, are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” William Morrow

God desires to see us grow mentally, spiritually, physically and emotionally.

“But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ…”

Eph. 4:15

Get Unstuck. Move in God’s direction.

“I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand as in what direction we are moving.” Oliver Wendell Holmes

Receive hope and peace as you spend time with GOD and his followers.

“But seek you first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

Be uplifted as you generously spend time caring for others around you.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.” 1 Thess. 5:11

As you and I give God control of our lives we will experience unending joy.

“Joy is that deep settled confidence that God is in control of every area of my life.” Paul Sailhamer

God keeps His promises and He knows your name.

“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.”

Isaiah 43:1 NLT

Don’t give up! Keep seeking the Lord. Keep believing. Keep shining for Christ. Keep praying. Keep asking for prayer.

Be diligent. Be determined. Be hopeful.

I am a testimony to the power of prayer. Somebody was praying me through it all. Through the tears, the pain, the sorrow and rainy days. It may have been a family member, my mentor, my fellow Christian community or an old friend I forgot I had. Whoever it is, I’m so grateful.

Be encouraged. Continue to seek the Lord and surround yourself with people who love the Lord and will help you grow into the person God created you to be.
