“And she gave birth to her firstborn, a Son. She wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and placed Him in a manger because there was no room for them in the inn.” Luke 2:7

Excitement is in the air!

It’s time to unpack the decorations, set up the train set, and begin playing our favorite Christmas movies and songs on iTunes, Spotify, CD’s and DVDs. Now is a special season to focus on the Christ in Christmas. Take a moment to place your nativity set in a prominent place in your home and tell others the real meaning of Christmas.

As we decorate our houses inside and out with lights, we are reminded of the star that was shining so bright over the baby Jesus in Bethlehem.

Like the wise men from the East who followed the bright Christmas star to the manger, let our light so shine before others that they will see Jesus in us! (John

1:4-5)

This Christmas, let’s start each day with a verse to remind us of the reason for the season – Jesus!

Take your Bible off the shelf and get reacquainted with Luke 2 during this week.

As you read God’s Word ask the Lord to speak to you clearly as Isaiah 55:11 proclaims, “My Word, will not return empty.”

Dear Lord and Savior of the World~

Thank you for coming into this world to be the light of salvation for all peoples in all nations. Today I choose to share the good news with those who need hope during this Christmas season.

You promise that as I encourage others, I will be refreshed and encouraged! (Proverbs 11:25) Use me for your purpose and plan. (Jeremiah 29:11-12) Help me to shine the light of your love to those around me.(Matthew 5:16)
